photographic print series

LANDFALL imitates geological survey maps through studio-produced photographs of torn paper, tape, and wire assemblages. The series proposes topographies which are in perpetual states of flux and seismic upheaval due to aggressive extraction industries such as deforestation, fracking, and mining. The large-scale prints, made with consumer-quality toner and pulp paper, carry the creases of folding and transport, suggesting a utilitarian and transitory purpose.
